Help Shape Our Next Season
Geoids’ productions begin with ideas from our members. Each year, we choose the shows we’ll stage, then invite people to apply for roles on their creative and production teams.
Whether you have a show you’d love Geoids to produce or want to help bring somebody else’s idea to life, this page explains how to get involved.
2027 SEASON
We’re currently choosing our 2027 season. Thank you to everyone who submitted an idea or responded to our membership survey.
We expect to announce the selected shows in early autumn 2026. Applications for creative-team roles will open after the season is announced.
The next opportunity to pitch a show is expected to open in summer 2027, when we begin planning our 2028 season.

How does Geoids’ select its season?
Suggest a Show
Our season-planning process takes place towards the end of each summer. This is when members can suggest shows they believe would be a brilliant fit for Geoids.
The process can vary from year to year. Depending on what we are planning, we may invite formal pitches, ask the wider membership for suggestions and feedback, or use a combination of both.
When the process starts, we’ll publish a full brief explaining who can submit, what information we need and how the final decisions will be made.
Join a Creative Team
You don’t have to pitch a show to help lead one.
Once our season has been announced, we invite applications for roles on each production’s creative team. These may include directors, musical directors, choreographers, producers and other show-specific positions.
Each production will have its own application information and deadlines. We’ll share these on our website, social media and through the Geoids newsletter.
FAQ

Our 48-Hour Panto takes place every January and is decided separately from the main Geoids season.
Each summer, we invite directors, musical directors, writers, producers and choreographers to express their interest in creating the following January’s panto. This is a separate application process, rather than part of our main show-pitching process.
Applications for the 2027 panto are now closed, and the teams will be announced in autumn 2026. If you would like to help create a future panto, join our mailing list to hear when the next application process opens.

No. Once our season has been announced, we invite separate applications for roles on each production. You can apply to join a creative team without having submitted the original suggestion.
-
We only formally consider pitches during our annual season-planning process, which normally opens during the summer. Join our newsletter to hear when the next process begins. However, if you have a burning idea you’re always welcome to drop us an email and have an informal chat.

Eligibility and requirements may vary from year to year. When suggestions open, we’ll publish a full brief explaining who can take part and what we need from you.
-
This depends on the process for that year. We may ask about the show itself, why it would suit Geoids, performance rights, cast and orchestra requirements, technical considerations, likely audience appeal and any creative ideas you would like us to consider.
-
No. You can suggest a show on your own, as part of a partially formed team, or with a full creative team already in place. The exact requirements and process will be explained in that year’s pitch brief.

We announce opportunities through our newsletter, website and social-media channels. The newsletter is the most reliable way to receive the relevant details and deadlines.
