No Day But Today: Rent Completes a Sold-Out Run

After six sold-out performances at the Bridewell Theatre, the curtain has come down on Geoids’ production of Rent.

From 11 to 15 November, our company brought Jonathan Larson’s landmark musical to life with a production celebrating love, resistance, creativity and chosen family.

Audiences packed the theatre throughout the week, and the response was wonderful. Everything Theatre awarded the production five stars, calling it “heartfelt, energetic” and creative, with a “fantastic company of incredible performers”. The review praised the production’s principal cast, exceptional ensemble, innovative staging and choreography. Read the full five-star review.

Particular praise went to Rob Kelly’s energetic and humorous Mark, Ahilya Murkunde’s Joanne and the company’s performances of “No Other Day” and “La Vie Bohème”. The review also highlighted the production’s strong visual world, including its costumes, scaffolding set and fluid ensemble-led scene changes.

The production was directed by Luke Renwick, assisted by Ru Cadell, with musical direction by Amy Foden-Lloyd and choreography by Emily Canessa Davies. Giles Burden served as Technical Producer, with production management from Rebecca Lillie, Lydia James and Anna Trofimova.

Thank you to every member of the cast, band, creative team, crew and front-of-house team, and to the audiences who filled every performance.

We will not soon forget this company, this story or those 525,600 minutes.
