The Geoids 48-hour pantomime returns for 2017!
It’s that time of year, when Christmas arrives,
And New Year then follows, with wine and mince pies.
Audience gathers to boo and to hiss –
It’s the Geoids panto, you won’t want to miss!
Cast and rehearsed in just 48 hours,
Our players need all of their thespian powers.
For one show alone will this treat tread the boards –
We’ll strike up the band to play a few chords.
But what will the pantomime feature this year?
A princess, a prince, a man with a spear?
Whatever it is, it’s sure to be grand
Because it’s been written by Rob Benton’s hand.
For now it’s a secret – you’ll just have to wait.
A few clues to come, the number is eight.
But please do be wary, red herrings abound!
You’ll have to sniff out the truth like a hound.
Our members shall have a priority slot,
Two weeks for first dibs, that’s all that you’ve got.
After that we will open to one and to all,
So come on and sign up – you will have a ball!
You’ll need to be available throughout the weekend from 13th to 15th January. Auditions for lead parts and rehearsals begin at 6pm on Friday 13th January. We’ll rehearse all day and evening on Saturday 14th January. You’ll then be needed all day Sunday 15th January for the theatre get-in, dress rehearsal and the show!
Friday and Saturday rehearsals will take place at Bishopsgate Institute near Liverpool Street station. The show is at LOST Theatre in Wandsworth, a short walk from Stockwell Tube station.
The show fee to take part is £35 for members and £40 for non-members. This helps us to cover the cost of putting on the show, including rehearsal space and costumes.
Online registration is the only way to guarantee your place in this year’s line-up and places are offered on a first come, first served basis. You’ll need to pay your show fee on registering via Ticketsource to secure your spot. Priority booking for members is now open and current Geoids members have been emailed a code. Booking opens for non-members at midnight on Monday 12th/Tuesday 13th December.
