The purpose of this workshop is to allow potential auditionees to meet the production team and become more familiar with both the show and the audition process. We will also go through the dance and musical numbers that will be used in the initial audition round.

Attendance is not required at the workshop in order to audition. Materials shared at the workshop will also be available on request for those who cannot attend.

Announcing Sunset Boulevard!

Sunset Boulevard: Tuesday 6 - Saturday 10 October 2015, Bridewell TheatreWith no further ado, and as the last big decision of the outgoing committee, Geoids Musical Theatre are excited to announce our autumn production Sunset Boulevard, which will play at the Bridewell Theatre, 6-10 October.

Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big screen, having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of “talkies”. Her glamour has faded in all but her mind. When she meets struggling Hollywood screenwriter Joe Gillis in dramatic circumstances, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to a tragic conclusion.

The lush score features such haunting classics as “With One Look”, “The Greatest Star of All”,
“As if We Never Said Goodbye”, “The Perfect Year”, and the emotionally charged title song “Sunset Boulevard”.

We have secured a talented production team who are very excited to get started:

  • Director – Dom O’Hanlon
  • Musical Director – Sarah Burrell
  • Choreographer – Honor Roche
  • Technical Director – Adrian Jeakins
  • Set Design – John Winters
  • Producer – Blake Klein
  • Repetiteur – Lizzy Rosser
